Where exotic Italian design meets Malaysian craftsmanship — every Bufori is a bespoke luxury statement on four wheels.
Bufori was founded in 1986 in Sydney, Australia, by the Khouri brothers — three Lebanese-Australian entrepreneurs inspired by pre-war European roadsters. The name is an acronym for "Beautiful, Unique, Fantastic, Outstanding, Reliable, Innovative." From the outset, the brand pursued an uncompromising vision: to produce small-volume, hand-built luxury automobiles that blended the romantic styling of the 1930s with contemporary engineering and opulent interiors.
In 1994, production was relocated to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where Bufori established its manufacturing facility. Malaysia offered both cost advantages and a skilled workforce, allowing the company to maintain handcrafted quality while scaling modestly. Bufori positions itself in the rarefied tier of boutique luxury manufacturers — a category that includes names like Morgan, Wiesmann, and Bristol — catering to collectors and connoisseurs who value exclusivity above all.
Each Bufori is essentially bespoke: customers select their powertrain, exterior colour, interior upholstery, and dozens of personalisation options. Build times can extend to months, and annual production rarely exceeds a few dozen vehicles. This deliberate scarcity underpins the brand's prestige, making every Bufori a genuinely unique automotive artefact.
Bufori vehicles are distinguished by their art deco-inspired bodywork, sweeping curves, and the extraordinary attention to detail that only hand construction can achieve.

Bufori's model range is deliberately small, with each variant representing a specific expression of retro luxury.
Bufori's engineering philosophy centres on combining a tube-steel space frame chassis with hand-formed fibreglass and composite bodywork, ensuring both structural integrity and the flowing organic shapes the brand is known for.
Bufori vehicles are exceptionally rare in Azerbaijan — a natural consequence of the brand's tiny production volumes and niche positioning. The few examples that have reached the region arrived through specialist import channels and private collector networks, typically as display pieces rather than everyday transport.
For Azerbaijani automotive enthusiasts who appreciate uniqueness above all, Bufori represents an intriguing proposition: a genuinely bespoke vehicle from an unexpected corner of the world, carrying the romance of 1930s European design in a contemporary package. The brand's combination of Malaysian craftsmanship and Western styling makes it a conversation piece at any gathering.
