Dodge's cab-forward large sedan that shared the LH platform with the Chrysler Concorde — the Intrepid brought space and style to the mainstream American mid-large sedan market.
The Chrysler Intrepid (sold as Dodge Intrepid in most markets) was the volume-selling LH platform large sedan — sharing its architecture with the Chrysler Concorde but positioned as the more mainstream, value-oriented option. The cab-forward design provided exceptional interior space for its exterior footprint, with a long wheelbase, flat floor, and large glasshouse creating an airy and comfortable cabin.
Two generations were produced: the first (1993–1997) introduced the concept, while the second generation (1998–2004) refined it significantly with improved styling, new engines, and better interior quality. The second-gen Intrepid offered the 2.7L V6 (200 hp) and 3.5L V6 (225 hp) as its engine options.
The Intrepid was discontinued in 2004 when Chrysler shifted focus to the 300 and its LX platform. In Azerbaijan, the Intrepid is available as a very affordable used large sedan — ideal for buyers who need maximum space on a minimal budget.

| ES (3.5) | 3.5L V6 | 225 hp | ~7.8s 0–100 | Better performance, preferred reliability |
| SXT (3.5) | 3.5L V6 | 225 hp | ~7.8s 0–100 | Value trim with full features |

| Ford Taurus | More common, better parts availability | Less bold design, less space |
| Chevrolet Impala (8th gen) | More modern, better reliability | More expensive used |
| Toyota Camry (XV20) | Far better reliability and resale | Much more expensive to buy |
The Chrysler Intrepid is best for budget-conscious buyers who need maximum interior space. Choose the 3.5L V6 variant with confirmed timing belt replacement. A well-maintained 2000–2004 ES is the optimal pick.
