Noble Automotive was founded in 1999 by Lee Noble in Leicester, England. Noble's vision was to create genuinely focused track-capable GT sports cars that delivered supercar performance without the compromises demanded by comfort, electronics, and driver aids that characterised established manufacturers. The company targeted the growing market of serious driving enthusiasts who wanted a raw, analogue sports car experience in an era when mainstream performance cars were becoming increasingly sophisticated.

Noble's approach — a mid-engined layout, turbocharged Ford V6 engine, and a focused cockpit stripped of unnecessary electronic intervention — produced cars of remarkable performance per pound of purchase price.
