Overview

The Toyota Master Ace was produced from 1982 to 1988. This model represents Toyota's transitional era toward the modern minivan concept. CR10/CR20 series existed. The standard petrol engine is the 2.0L 3Y (90 hp), with the 1.8L 1Y-U (85 hp) as the smaller variant. The mid-engine placement is a feature of this era — the engine positioned under the driver.

The Master Ace is based on the Toyota HiAce Van platform. The "mid-engine" layout with the engine under the driver maximizes interior cabin space. An evolved version of this concept later became the Estima. The model was also known as the "Town Ace Van" in some markets.

The Toyota Master Ace is an extremely rare find in Azerbaijan. Toyotas from 1982 to 1988 arrived in the country in very small numbers. Since the 3Y/1Y-U engines are old, sourcing parts will be very difficult. This model is only interesting for collector enthusiasts interested in classic Toyota minivans.
