The Volkswagen Passat North American version was produced at the Chattanooga, Tennessee plant from 2012 to 2022. This is a completely different model from the global Passat produced for the European market — longer wheelbase, larger cabin, simpler specification (some high-tech European features absent), and a lower entry price suited to the North American market's demands.

Technically the NA Passat is on the PQ46 platform (similar to European B6 Passat), but with an extended North American wheelbase of 2,803 mm.
