Born from the DaimlerChrysler merger — the Crossfire combined Mercedes-Benz SLK mechanicals with Chrysler's bold design flair to create a uniquely styled sports coupe.
The Chrysler Crossfire is one of the most fascinating products of the DaimlerChrysler merger era — a sports coupe that used the Mercedes-Benz SLK R170 platform, mechanicals, and transmission beneath striking concept-car-derived styling designed by Chrysler designer Eric Stoddard. The result was a genuinely capable sports coupe with Mercedes engineering quality at a Chrysler price point.
The standard Crossfire coupe used a 3.2L Mercedes V6 producing 215 hp, paired with a 5-speed Mercedes-sourced automatic. The SRT6 variant introduced in 2005 featured a supercharged version of the same V6 producing 330 hp, along with upgraded Brembo brakes, firmer suspension, wider bodywork, and larger 19-inch wheels. A roadster (convertible) variant of both models was introduced for 2005.
The Crossfire was discontinued in 2008 after the DaimlerChrysler split. In Azerbaijan, it is an unusual and eye-catching choice — genuine Mercedes engineering in a dramatically styled body at a very accessible used price. Parts can be sourced through Mercedes-Benz SLK channels in many cases.

The Chrysler Crossfire offers a genuinely special ownership experience — Mercedes quality, rear-wheel drive dynamics, and stunning polarising styling at a fraction of the price of an equivalent SLK. Choose a standard coupe with under 100,000 km for the most reliable ownership. The SRT6 is for enthusiasts with a higher maintenance budget.
