The Chrysler Laser was a three-door hatchback coupe produced from 1984 to 1986, sharing its L-body platform with the Dodge Daytona. The Laser was the Chrysler-branded version offering slightly more premium trim options and interior appointments than the equivalent Daytona. Available in standard naturally aspirated (93 hp) and turbocharged (142–146 hp) variants.

The Laser's production run was brief — only three model years — making surviving examples relatively rare. The turbocharged XE variant offered genuine 1980s performance, with the 2.2L Turbo producing 142–146 hp in the light front-wheel-drive body.
