JETOUR is the travel-focused SUV brand of China's Chery Automobile Group, founded in 2018 with a mission to redefine the Chinese family SUV experience. With a name rooted in the spirit of exploration and a lineup built around practicality, style, and value, JETOUR has rapidly expanded into one of China's fastest-growing SUV brands and a rising star in global export markets.
JETOUR was established in 2018 as a dedicated SUV sub-brand of Chery Automobile — one of China's largest and most experienced independent automakers, which has been producing cars since 1997. Chery recognised that the SUV segment was the fastest-growing in China and globally, and that a focused, purpose-built brand dedicated entirely to SUVs could be more effective than trying to serve all segments under a single nameplate. JETOUR was born with a clear identity: travel-inspired SUVs built for families who want space, style, and adventure at accessible prices.
The brand's name reflects its positioning — "JOY" and "TOUR" combined — emphasising the pleasure of travel and exploration that its vehicles are designed to facilitate. JETOUR launched its debut X70 seven-seat SUV in 2018 and quickly followed with a range of models spanning compact, mid-size, and large SUV categories. The X70 immediately won praise for its spaciousness, equipment level, and competitive pricing, establishing the template for the JETOUR formula.
By the early 2020s, JETOUR had expanded significantly beyond China, establishing export operations across the Middle East, Central Asia, Russia, South America, and Africa. The brand sells vehicles in over 60 countries, leveraging Chery's established global logistics and distribution networks. JETOUR's product roadmap includes a full suite of plug-in hybrid and pure electric variants, reflecting Chery Group's commitment to electrification across all its brands.
JETOUR's design language blends bold, upright SUV proportions with modern details — expansive glass areas, striking LED lighting signatures, and spacious interiors that prioritise passenger comfort and cargo versatility.

JETOUR's lineup is built entirely around SUVs — from compact crossovers to full-size seven-seat family haulers — with a consistent emphasis on maximum interior space, practical technology, and compelling value. The range is expanding rapidly to include PHEV and EV variants.
JETOUR benefits from Chery Group's decades of engineering experience and its significant ongoing investment in powertrain and digital technology. The brand's HEVO hybrid system, developed in-house by Chery, underpins the PHEV range with a twin-motor architecture delivering both efficient electric-only city driving and high-performance AWD when required.
JETOUR has been one of the standout success stories among Chinese car brands in Azerbaijan. The X70's combination of seven-seat practicality, generous specification, and competitive pricing has resonated strongly with Azerbaijani families who previously might have stretched to a Korean or Japanese competitor at higher cost. JETOUR's rapidly growing dealer and service network in Baku supports an increasing ownership base with local expertise.
The brand's expansion across the Caucasus region is supported by Chery's established regional distribution infrastructure, which enables efficient parts supply and after-sales service. Azerbaijan's mountainous terrain and mixed road conditions make JETOUR's rugged SUV architecture particularly relevant, with the brand's AWD models gaining popularity for regional travel outside Baku.
